This quarter's featured guest is Crispus Gordon, III, Director of Government Relations and Community Engagement for Monumental Sports and Entertainment. The pair will talk sports and politics at the National Press Club during the 2022 Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Annual Legislative Conference (CBCF-ALC) weekend in Washington D.C.

Gordon is responsible for leading and executing the government relations strategy and public policy initiatives for four venues and six sports teams, including the Washington Wizards (NBA), Washington Mystics (WNBA), and Washington Capitals (NHL). Prior to joining Monumental Sports, Gordon previously led the government affairs strategy for Destination DC, serving as the primary liaison to the Government of the District of Columbia, Council of the District of Columbia as well as the Destination DC’s Board of Directors. He has also worked as a legislative assistant for the Chairman of the Council of the District of Columbia.

Guests are invited to drop in for the conversation and of course a cocktail, while making new connections following the CBCF-ALC sessions on Wednesday, September 28.

This event is produced in partnership with the DC chapter of Women in Sports & Events (WISE DC).This is a limited seating event requiring an invitation and confirmation for entry into the National Press Club. Light fare along with complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks will be served.
