Celebrate the 37th annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day with the Center for Women, Gender and Global Leadership on February 1 for a conversation on the Howard Woman in Sports. This conversation features and celebrates HU Women in Sports. Panelists include:

Black women, particularly the Howard woman, have long led the charge in disrupting the status quo, serving as innovators and leaders of groundbreaking change across industries, including sports. This panel of distinguished athletes, scholars and executives will highlight the overall contributions of Black women in the sports industry and the intersectional challenges that come along with tackling equality in the classroom, on the sports field and in the boardroom.

Light refreshments and an opportunity to network will be provided.  The event will take place on the campus of Howard University in the Blackburn Student Center. The event is free but an RSVP is requested. RSVP here.
